\nRegistered Nurse - PCU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
\n• 4x12 hour shifts available upon request
\n• 13-52 week assignments available upon request
\n• Patient ratio typically 1:5 with staffing goal of 1:4
\n• Weekend requirement of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
\n• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
\n• EPIC charting experience required
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
\n• Floating required within skillset to other PCU or medical-surgical units
\n• Care for stroke and neurology patients in telemetry PCU setting
\n• Manage cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation
\n• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
\n• Administer medications including cardiac drips (no titration): Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, low-dose dopamine/dobutamine, Amiodarone, Nitro, Bumex, Lasix, Lidocaine, Ketamine
\n• Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
\n• Maintain isolation precautions and telemetry settings across PCU, IMC, and stepdown units
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 25
\n• One year of nursing experience required
\n• First-time travelers accepted but travel experience preferred

\nThis is a large acute care facility with over 700 licensed beds, recognized as a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated hospital. The facility is a teaching hospital affiliated with a medical school and offers advanced specialty care including bariatric, trauma, and surgical services. The 12 West unit is a telemetry PCU specializing in stroke and neurology patients as part of a Joint Commission certified primary stroke center, with remote telemetry monitoring and comprehensive interdisciplinary support services.
